In case of fallen or missing in action a servicemen, the following persons are considered beneficiaries:

The serviceman’s spouse, child/children, parent(s); as of the date of the compensation event, siblings who are under 18 years of age, or have been declared incapacitated, or are full-time students up to the age of 23, as well as siblings aged 18 and over with disabilities who were under the serviceman’s care, provided that the disability was established before reaching the age of 18.

A person not registered in marriage with the serviceman but having a joint child with him/her.

A person divorced from the serviceman but having a joint child is not considered a beneficiary.

In the absence of the beneficiaries specified above, the beneficiary shall be the person who, as of the date of the compensation event, was under the serviceman’s care and had a disability or entitlement to a labor pension, and who had cared for the serviceman until he reached the age of 18.

In the absence of all the above beneficiaries, the serviceman’s brother(s) and sister(s) shall also be considered beneficiaries, provided that no other beneficiary has previously received compensation in respect of that serviceman.
